POSTSCRIPT: It was reported in the previous "minutes" of the March 15th BOE meeting that Superintendent Whitledge had indicated that the "Reduction in Force" notice on the agenda did NOT concern CAT bargaining positions. This morning, Superintendent Whitledge notified me that there had been a change...that first-year teachers would "reluctantly" be RIFed at tonight's meeting. However, as you will notice above, no action was taken tonight on that measure. Unfortunately, such action CAN be taken up to 45 calendar days from the last day of school. So, no news IS good news, but stay tuned...
A motion was made and seconded to approve the resolution. The vote on the motion was: 3 Ayes, 2 Nays, and 1 Abstain.
