MOLD AT BENNETT ELEMENTARY?

Rumor has it...that mold is a problem at Bennett Elementary. Heard, today, from several sources that one classroom has been vacated and that the health department has been contacted by concerned parents.

If it is true, we trust that the District is responding with all due haste to rectify the situation. The District and the Health Department must act immediately to eradicate the source of the contamination and insure a safe and healthy environment for all involved.

As a "survivor" of the high school fiasco - in which the District went into denial and had to be dragged kicking and screaming into testing the air quality and remedying the situation - I can empathize with staff and students. Several of us still suffer lingering effects. Unfortunately, the symptoms do not always manifest themselves within the "time frame" associated with exposure.
