CAT Tracks for November 1, 2006
IEA POLITICAL ENDORSEMENTS |
All IEA members should have already received the following brochure (except maybe "newbies" who have not yet been added to the mailing list.) However, just in case you've "misplaced" it...
Contrary to "public opinion", a review of the list will show that the IEA IS a bipartisan organization, endorsing approximately 50 Republicans out of a total of 115 recommendations. IPACE (the IEA's political arm) is guided by the campaign positions of candidates on educational issues (and more importantly the "follow through" of incumbents) in making its recommendations, rather than simple party labels.
The IEA would appreciate your consideration of these recommendations as you head out to the polls on November 7th. (By the way...Illinois also offers "early voting" for your convenience. You do NOT have to have an "excuse" as in absentee voting...you just go in, show identification as a registered voter, and VOTE!)
