Project Kitty City |
This is the kind of article that could get me into trouble...trigger my "sense of humor" that some might deem inappropriate.
Since this is a serious topic...and one of those seemingly rare instances of someone doing something positive in Cairo...I'll simply pass this aricle along FYI...fur your information.

Cairo worship center hosts benefit Sunday
CAIRO, Ill. - An organ-piano concert to benefit Project Kitty City is set for 4 p.m. Sunday at Mighty Rivers Regional Worship Center, formerly Cairo Baptist Church, 10th and Poplar streets.
The concert by Terry Parker and Sallie Goodin, both of Charleston, Mo., will feature sacred, classical and contemporary Christian music, and will conclude with a Broadway medley sing-a-long.
The non-profit Project Kitty City was started by Larry and Sandy Potts of Cairo in an attempt to get the feral cat population in downtown Cairo under control. In the past three months, the program, in partnership with the Animal Health Center in Charleston, has spayed 37 cats, neutered 29, euthanized five and placed 60 cats into homes.
