NEA-IEA RETIRED

A CAT member stopped me in the hallway last week and inquired about investment CDs purchased through the NEA...did a person have to continue as an Association member beyond retirement to participate in such a program? A related concern was whether use of the Association credit cards (MBNA America) was contingent upon continued Association membership...

Well, it just so happens that the NEA is currently "making an offer you just can't refuse"...

In order to join NEA-Retired, you must also join IEA-Retired for an additional $50...bringing the one-time payment to a total of $150. As the above brochure indicates, this price will increase by $100 beginning September 1, 2006.

So...you can relieve your worries by signing up TODAY! For sure, act before the September 1st deadline!!!

"Darn! I'm not able to retire this year...I'm going to miss out on a bargain!" Okay, okay...we'll cut you some slack! If you are at least 45 years old and "vested", you can "Pre-Retire" by the September 1, 2006 deadline...and get NEA-IEA-Retired membership for the one-time low payment of $150!

I told you that this was a deal that you could not refuse. Yours truly has even decided to join...not bad for someone who said he would never retire!

For more information...visit the NEA-Retired website.

"I've heard enough, just give me an application." Consider it done! You must first log in to the IEA website and then click the link to "Join the IEA Retired Program".

(If you are not technologically inclined, contact Ron Newell and I will see that you receive an application.)

DISCLAIMER: Too good to be true? No...It's the real deal!

However, don't think that this one-time payment for NEA-IEA-Retired means that you get a deduction on your yearly dues PRIOR to retirement. THAT, my fellow CATs, WOULD be too good to be true!
