CAT Tracks for September 29, 2005 NO DIRECT DEPOSIT ON SEPTEMBER 30th

As was announced at the end of school today, there will NOT be direct deposit of paychecks for CSD #1 employees tomorrow.

Due to some unexpected circumstances that transpired yesterday at the District Central Office, the District has been forced to run "paper checks" for ALL employees. These checks will be delivered to the attendance centers tomorrow morning in the normal fashion.

Superintendent Whitledge expressed his regrets and his understanding that, at the very least, this short-notice process creates uncertainty and inconvenience. Mr. Whitledge indicated that the District had contacted the proper officials in an effort to work out the direct deposit of funds, but that the bank would not authorize it on such short notice without proper paper documentation, which could NOT be done in the allotted time.

Mr. Whitledge indicated that the situation WOULD be rectified in time for the October 14th pay date...guaranteed!
