Insurance broker Kenny Johnson and his partner Lee Champion were in the District yesterday...partially an "annual visit" to make sure that the District's Group Health Insurance Program is functioning smoothly and, also, to pay a visit to individuals who had experienced "transition difficulties" during the summer...to make sure that their concerns had been properly addressed and rectified.
Kenny and Lee wanted to assure everyone that they "are here to serve" and that if anyone experiences any problems, PLEASE feel free to contact them.
Kenny noted that the "transition difficulties" seemed to all be connected to the prescription aspect of the program...not the medical side. Accordingly, Kenny left a copy of the "2005 IHO Authorization and Dispensing Limitation List and Dose Optimization List"...to provide members with a "heads up" on when their prescriptions might be questioned.
Kenny and Lee also expressed interest in making periodic use of the CAT web site to provide timely information to members concerning the Group Health Insurance Program. Look for these bulletins in the future.
