CAT Tracks for November 17, 2005 PAYCHECK ALERT

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings again, but...

Have received two reports of paycheck errors...apparently involving AFA compensation. Take a look at your November 15th paycheck...does the "Net Pay" match the amount actually paid in your check/direct deposit? On the two checks reviewed, the "Net Pay" was correct, but for some reason the AFA money was not actually distributed. (That kind of an error is potentially worse than the previous errors in that it looks like you got it...but you didn't.)

So - unfortunately - the continuing mantra of "Check Your Check" still rules!

(Maybe that's why we just spent $9750 for a new computer system for the business office...although I fear hearing a familiar refrain of "Well, we just installed a new computer system and it takes awhile to get the bugs out...")
