SURVEY SAYS... |
IEA President Anne Davis sent local presidents the following e-mail to alert ALL members about a survey being conducted by the Association. Since I am personally aware that the IEA truly DOES want input and DOES use that input in its planning...I would encourage each and every one of you to participate TODAY!
Colleagues:
As a result of the approval of New Business Item (NBI) #2 by delegates to the 2004 IEA Representative Assembly, a new and exciting tool providing a valuable service to members is now available.
NBI #2 directed the IEA Department of Communications to work with the Program Development Department to develop an electronic member survey to be accessed through the IEA Web page (www.ieanea.org).
Each IEA member will be able to cast one ballot. The survey will be available through the Web page until at least June 1. Results from the survey will appear on the IEA Web page during the summer and also will be published in the September-October 2004 edition of the IEA Advocate.
Though this is not a scientific research project, it is a very useful way for the voices of IEA members to be heard on a variety of issues.
The development of this survey is a great example of the way technology can be used to bring governance and the membership closer together. I hope you and your members will participate.
Special thanks to Webmaster Dan Billingsley and the IEA Communications Department for their work in the development of this tool.
Anne
