CAT Tracks for March 20, 2004
CORRECTION TO 3/19/04 CAT TRACKS |
During the publication life of the CAT Tracks, every effort has been made to insure the accuracy of the stories that have appeared. Events reported have often seemed incredulous, but it has been a case of "truth is stranger than fiction".
However, an incident reported in yesterday's edition was in error. An assumption was made based upon a first-hand observation - an assumption that was incorrect. In the interest of maintaining the credibility of our Association's publication:
Under the heading of "EAT, EAT, EAT..."
It was reported that the Cairo Board of Education had partaken of leftovers during their closed session...on a day that the Cairo Financial Oversight Panel had authorized a reduction in force of over half of the employees of Cairo School District Number One. This was NOT TRUE!
This reporter received a telephone call yesterday afternoon from a reliable source who stated that the Cairo Board of Education did NOT eat leftovers at their evening meeting. NO! The Cairo Board of Education partook of a freshly prepared TURKEY AND DRESSING DINNER...with all the fixings!
We stand corrected!
