PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS |
REMINDER!
This Wednesday - August 28th - is the deadline given by the District for teachers to "cover" payroll deductions normally made for various premiums...BCBS family premium, AFLAC, Colonial, etc.
If you have any of these, be sure to write out a personal check for the proper amount...made payable to the specific company...and make sure that Mildred Triantis receives it no later than the close of business on August 28th. Not sure...take a look at your last check stub...keeping in mind that the premium would be "DOUBLE" since it is normally held out on the 15th and 30th.
Do NOT try to give Mildred checks for the IEA Credit Union, Savings Bonds, etc. If you wish to continue those, YOU must make those payments yourself. Also, those of you making the 2.2 upgrade...TRS is simply going to extend the payroll deduction period by one month - i.e. no upgrade payment for August.
ALL of the above is for this month only! In September, we will resume normal payroll deductions for everything. If you have any questions concerning this procedure, contact Mildred at the District office...or Ron Newell.
ALSO...
For those of you who took out loans through the IEA Credit Union due to the strike...there is one final item of paperwork to be done. Individual forms must be filed with the District office notifying them how much money is to be withheld from each individual member's pay check beginning with the September 15th payroll.
This is NOT something that you have failed to do...we do not yet have the forms. I am in contact with IEA and will hopefully have those forms by mid-week. In preparation...dig out your copy of those loan forms that you received with your lump-sum check in July. All the information you will need should be on those forms.
