Our Web Location (OWL)

OWL.org is a free service of the National Education Association and its State and Local Affiliates. Devoted to "Educators Helping Educators," OWL.org is an online community where educators connect to share their knowledge and experience. OWL.org supports teachers and school staff with practical tips, strategies, and education materials.

After more than a year in development, OWL.org made its debut at the NEA Representative Assembly last month. It launched public service this week. Register and check out OWL.org today!

AND...marking the debut, be sure to read two articles about and by a person who is very familiar to you:

(Since this is a "members only" web site, I am unable to provide actual links. You will have to register, sign in, and then enter "Julie Newell" in the SEARCH box at the upper left-hand corner of the page.)

ESP Skills Helped Julie Newell Raise Her 9 Siblings by Rachel Jones

ESP Identity Crisis by Julie Newell

Pardon a moment of pride, but I think you will agree that it is job well done!

Of course there are those who would disagree...like the superintendent who is recommending termination of her employment and the members of the Cairo Board of Education who seem poised to approve that recommendation at their rescheduled regular meeting on August 22, 2002!

Why?

That's a very good question...one that I will address soon as a "Point of Personal Privilege".
