CAT Tracks for June 11, 2003
OOPS...RETRACTION!

Giving too much credit...where it definitely wasn't due!

Be sure to check YOUR check, because...

Upon further review...all of the BCBS health insurance premiums were NOT deducted from lump-sum paychecks as reported in yesterday's CAT Tracks.

June's premium WAS withheld (which pays for July). However, the District did NOT deduct for July (which pays for August). Therefore, you will have to write a personal check for the missing month and give it to the District Central Office (usually Mildred) prior to the end of July. (If you call, maybe they would take it earlier.)

Sorry for the inconvenience...but it's NOT the fault of the CAT. The Association sent the Superintendent a letter concerning all of these matters and had hoped that all issues would be addressed properly.

Our success rate now stands at 50%...until someone finds another mistake.

Have not yet heard from the Superintendent's office as to what (if anything) will be done concerning the District's failure to deduct final loan payments from the lump-sum money. Stay tuned...

If you find further oversights/mistakes, let us know so that we can spread the word. You can e-mail us from the CAT Home Page!
