CAT Tracks for March 29, 2003 SURPRISE "PUBLIC HEARING" - RIFs & FINANCES

President Joe Griggs of the Cairo Board of Education has announced a "public hearing regarding reduction in force and finance for Cairo School District Number One."

This announcement (on Friday) came without warning since it was NOT mentioned during the CAT's meeting with the BOE on Tuesday evening, nor was it mentioned at the BOE's Special Meeting concerning personnel held on Wednesday evening.

What's up? Your guess is as good as mine. I plan to attend the "public hearing" and would encourage you to do likewise. The future of Cairo School District Number One - our future - may be up for discussion...and action!
