SAVE THOSE SICK DAYS!

George Ryan has made a few of you (Sigh!) VERY HAPPY on his way out of office...

Governor Ryan has signed IEA-backed House Bill 5169 into law. This pension bill is now Public Act 92-0867.

This bill:

  • Changes from one to two years the maximum amount of accumulated sick leave that can be used toward a teacher's pension.

  • Allows use of up to two years of teaching experience in private schools toward a TRS pension.
