Mix together oatmeal, flour and brown sugar. Add nuts. Cut in butter or margarine until crumbly. In another bowl, mix strawberries and white sugar together. Grease an 8" square pan. Spread half the crumb mixture on bottom. Cover with strawberries. Spread remaining crumb mixture over top. Bake at 350 deg F oven for 45 minutes. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or topping.

The yummiest strawberry treat besides chocolate-dipped strawberries is to simply clean the berries, leaving the green on as a handle, and get 2 bowls. Put sour cream in one and brown sugar in the other. Dip the strawberry first in sour cream, then in brown sugar... delectable.
You can also pour a wine glass of good wine over clean cored strawberries (if you're of age, of course) and pretend you're the Queen of Somewhere Special.
Another way of preparing strawberries: Mix rasberry or strawberry or other berry jello with strawberries, add hot water and have a juice such as peach for the rest of the juice. Simple but yummy.
