Members of the Rock Art Investigation Center of Uruguay (CIARU) have been invited to work on research in other areas, in charge of projects direction and also acting as specialized rock art researchers on larger projects.

We have worked outside of Uruguay along with the Unité de Recherche Archeologique from the Centre Nationale de Recherche Scientifique of France, with the Federal University of Minas Geraes (Universidade Federal de Minas Geraes), the Federal University of Para (Universidade Federal of Para) and the Emilio Goeldi Museum in Brazil, the National University of San Juan (Universidad Nacional de San Juan), the National University of Buenos Aires (Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires), Ameghino Foundation and the Cultural Direction of San Luis (Dirección de Cultura de San Luis) in Argentina, among other institutions.

All that has brought us an important field experience, information and professional archeological training, besides a wide perspective among colleagues. It has also permitted us to divulge documentation techniques and data base management procedures.
