Q: If there is a write-in space on the ballot, and a name is misspelled each time, is that person still elected? - T.O., Nov. 5, 1999

A: Yes, assuming sufficient write-in votes for election. Small technical errors such as a misspelling do not disqualify a ballot as long as the intent is understood. See RONR p. 409.
