Red Dwarf is just the way the British like 'em: low budget and highly hilarious. David Lister, the last man in the universe, is stuck on a ship (Red Dwarf) with an anal retentive robot (Kryten) and an evolved, fashion-obssessed cat (Cat). The newest member is Christine Kochanski, Lister's old girlfriend from an alternate universe, and the last woman in the universe. Lately departed after six seasons (at least, the ones we Yanks have seen) is Rimmer, the most annoying hologram in the universe. Recently returned is Holly (it used to be a guy who turned into a girl, but now it's a guy), the Red Dwarf's intelligent and chronically depressed computer. Most PBS stations carry this BBC2 production in the Colonies; if you don't get it, it's public television, you ought to riot. Well, not really. The truth is, the shipment is real irregular, so most stations have to show them as they fly in.
