My People

You might be wondering why I would put photos of some of my family on the internet.

Well, I've posted this page as kind of an example. First, to show that I'm a lot like everyone else: I'm a father and grandfather. But, of course, there's more. I'm also a normal human in every way -- no different in any way from you or almost everyone you know. With the possible exception that I am a Christian.

I do think that being a Christian makes us different from people who are not. Not that this is something we wish, but it is something as basic and definitive as the difference between gold and lead, between dark and light. This difference was created by God.

So, then, these pages should be expected to both show how I am like you, if you are Christian, or different from you if you are not.

The second reason I've posted this particular page of "my people" is to demonstrate, that, like you, I am a member of a Family. I have "people" and am one of my people's people.

You and I have "People," and are part of "our People."

That is the Point. Just like you have "people" and I have "people," so does God have "People."

In a very real way, then, your people and my people are an example of God's People. Just as you love, and are loved by, your people, so are God's People loved by Him, and love Him.

We are His Children, His Family, His People.
