A gem sparkles in a ring
Who knows what happiness it could bring?
Forever wrapped in gold
a story yet to be told
A story of a man
and the love he could not give
A story of a man and
the love he hides within
He looks deep down
into the prismatic stone
A radiant glow that mimics
the emotion churning within his soul
And sees nothing but his own heart
It is sad but true
A shadow of what he once knew
He stands there in a warm embrace
His soul churning,
internal storm burning
He fell for her soft face
He looks to her now and then
and wonders if and when
Not willing to take the chance
not willing to lose what they still have
So instead he hopes and prays
At times venturing into
the world of false hope
It is on the border he stands now,
his sword of myth drawn
He peers across the forsaken land
and looks for hints of
longing, wanting, and maybe even love
Wishing for divine intervention from above.

If I said I loved you
what would you say?
If I tried to hold your hand
would you push me away?
Maybe it's different now
Maybe I'm wrong
Is there still room in your heart?
It's been so long.
(cl)Could you ever take me as I am?
Could you take me for what I will become?
Feelings aren't different now,
they never changed
Oh why can't you see
the love I hold in me?
(yeaha-ohh only if reading as a song then repeat above line also)
You are so beautiful
and I wonder what you want
I would meet your every whim
if you tell me what to do
I would fulfil your every dream
and bow down to you
I say to myself every night and day
why can't I be with you that way?
I know that we are friends
but I feel so much more
Do I have a chance of
getting my foot in the door? (if singing go back to chorus line)
Tell me what you are thinking.
Tell me what you feel
What I can do to make
our love real?
If I came to you now
to tell you how I feel
Is it worth the chance,
should I take the risk?

I see her walk
and my heart begins to melt
I hear her voice
and I feel pure joy
I touch her hand
and I can't be stopped
I put my arms around her
and I become immortal
I have the hope
I dream the dreams
I feel the need to concede
to the feelings that I feel
My heart does not want to wait
My mind causes me to hesitate
I know what I want
I know what I mustn't do
I will not risk it all falling through
What if I love her
and she never knows it?
What if I love her
and I attempt to show it?

The Duke of Earl
A man of myth and legend
A man of heart and soul
A woman of infinite beauty and grace
A woman with style and finesse
Maybe not meant to be together
for they are not now
He looks to the dawn of the future
He looks for new ways now
He tries to show her
the love that he may feel
She may be blind to the love
that he is trying to show
He does not accept defeat
but he knows not what to do
He is trying to find a way now
A way to make it through
She is there for him now
Like she has been all along
He never doubts her
because he has no reason to

I used to have a secret
I thought it was safe and secure
I discovered last night
That My secret is no
longer a secret any more
Every one I know
supposedly knows my secret
Even she who My secret is about
Now I know that my secret is out
The tension is there now
I can feel it through and through
Now that I know that you know
I know that I don't have a chance with you
I wish I was the man of myth and legend
that The Duke of Earl should be
I wish I had the charm and grace
to win a place by your side
If only I had my sword of myth
to help me fend off the demons
in the forsaken land
If only I had the armor of the Paladin
to protect my heart from
the brutal spears of un-returned love
I can not summon my army
of friends to fight this battle
because to them I don't know
that they know
My secret is here
my secret is out
no one told it
it just came out
Now that my friends know
I have to watch what I show
I have to be carful now
things are somehow different now
different in me

When the light is blocked
When the mighty have fallen
When the knights are routed
When the goodness ceases to exist
There will be one,
The truly unstoppable one.
He will stand alone in the darkness
He will fight the battle for light alone
Encased in the armor of a paladin
Armed with a sword of myth and legend
Letting the fire burn hot in his soul
The internal light will show through his eyes
He has nothing to fear
No reason for worry
Yes, he is mortal
But he fights with a god's faith and fury
The swords clash with a spark
The armor vibrates with power
He calls upon his inner fire to
Heat away the chill darkness
He is surrounded by the blackest black
His own light holds it back
In the distance he sees an ally fall
In the distance he sees someone's hope shatter
He calls upon his friends
To light for him his way
He calls upon his friends
So he does not go astray
This noble paladin
Whose name is known to all
This man of myth
Who will never fall
He sees the faces
Of those who fell before him
He sees their souls
Escape the darkness and turn to the light
He sees the twisted faces
That have fallen by his sword
Their blood runs warm then cold
As they defy the light and embrace the night
People will tell stories of him
as the days speed by
People will speak of the Paladin
who stood alone to fight the night
There are times when tales
become tall instead of true
When the factual story becomes
lost in the folds of time
Yes, in body he stood alone
but not in his heart, mind, and soul
When your friends are with you
you never have to fight alone

I speak of you
and people listen
I think of you
and my cocoa eyes begin to glisten
I mention you and
they suddenly understand
I say your name
and the know me for the man that I am
People have told me
to stop with this obsession
People have told me
to move on without hesitation
To these people I did not listen
You have inspired me
to write the things I do
These are the reasons that
I speak of you

When the sun rises then dies
When the darkness wakes and then sleeps
there is a change upon this world
A change that is because of her
I am now free
to love in the open
I no longer have to
keep my feelings to myself
Perhaps I can fly now
She has given me the wings
Perhaps I can soar now
She has given me the wind
If I jump I shall not fall
If I leap I will be caught
Nothing can stop love
that's what I've always thought
I no longer fear the lands of False Hope
That my heart and mind created
I am now free to walk where I choose
I am unstoppable, I cannot lose
Let the demons come
they never really existed
Let doubt whisper to me
once again, I will not listen
She holds my heart
and parts of my soul
The joy that I feel is all because of her
and the things that we share
there are things in life
that are meant to be
Why couldn’t I see
The false doubts I had in me?
I have no doubts now
I have no chains
My trial of the heart is over
And I was found guilty

For Mike
Windows are broken
glass is on the floor
there is banging at the door
open it, let in the light
Don't give into darkness'
plight
Words were said
none of them were met
Your heart fills with regret
You head towards the abyss
not knowing what's to come
if you go you leave behind the bliss of life's drum
Listen to what they say
listen to your heart
if you fall tonight
you leave behind life's art
There are things that happen
good and bad, but there are reasons,
they mold us, change us
make us who we are
they make us strong

for Di
The star of life
high in the sky
sparkling like
a white tiger's eye
Forever together
Never being stopped
Willing to reach out
and touch what others
will not
Through life
comes friendship
for ever more
not ever with out
ever getting more
I come to you
in your sleep
I come to you
and hold your hand
I sit besides you
though I am not there
I sit besides you
and wait
I look down at you
tears in my eyes
I look down at you
and pray for you to come back
I look down at you
deep into your eyes
I look down into your soul
I touch it, feel it, try to help it
I kneel besides your bed
Your hand in mine
A gentle squeeze
a soft caress of the cheek
I wish, I pray
I want not for
Greater Hands to
take you away
I stand besides your bed
my sword of myth drawn
I stand keeping a vigil
that shall not end
I stand defiantly pushing
back Greater Hands that
I can not hope to contend
Yet I fight with them as I know
you are too
I sit, kneel, and stand here
fighting the Greater Hands
with you

Shawn Graham,The Duke of Earl
An Angel came to
me in the night
nearly blinding me
with her light
She gave thanks to me
and still I know not why
I only dried her tears
as she cried
A Lion too came to me
a beast of hidden beauty
"I don't have a heart" she said
The way to it I lead
She has one of the biggest
hearts I have ever seen
Loyal to the end
A far away friend has
listened to me babble
Understanding every word
always being stable
My CL and I have
been through so much
She is way over there
yet I feel a link
How often have we
been on the brink?
The one who's name
stands for nothing
Has everything at her
figure tips
Is truly someone in and out
Of this I have no doubt
The one who commands
the storm's fury
holds a shield in her hand
I have seen the other side
and know what every one
else is missing
The shield will never
block your light
Celestra, a name that means
"Of the Heavens"
A name that is so true,
only if she as well as others knew
Look to your soul and you may
find what you have been looking for
all this time
The one who holds my heart
I need not say her name
I am glad that she
is a part of my life
A very special light for me
She who hides behind
cape and cowel
A partner in torture
and friendship
The one that
is my "little sis"
one of song and soul
She understands the hope
she feels the faith
Love will come to her
The Old Soul
that has been
through so much
and still is strong,
stronger then she
may ever know
The Unbranded
Onethe times we have shared
at times when we
should have been in bed
The stories we have told
He calls me Buddy and I
call him Old Friend
The girl who stands
watch over the darkness
Her name hidden from all
that she knows
I keep the secret that
she let me know
A world lays in the things
that she creates
All of the above have
excepted me as I am
All of the above have
changed my life for the better
giving my life meaning and matter
I hope that I have returned
these gifts over ten fold
I hope that am a true friend
to have and to hold
I can never fully repay
all that you have done
I can never say
the appropriate words
to let you know what
you all mean to me

With and without
Visible and not
To grip and grab
To hold and to know
Things are to be touched
felt and known
Hands
Hands of the eyes
Hands of the heart
The soul to hold
To feel and touch
Forever feeling
Forever learning
Hating to be alone
Feeling both of love and hate
Happiness and fear
To hold another is the desire
To feel warmth
To feel a gentle grasp
Fingers intertwined, forever
Hand in Hand

But I miss you now
and want you here with me
I miss you in the morning
when I first wake
I miss you when I am asleep
if you have not entered my dreams
I miss you when I stand out in the cold
for only you can heat me the way I need
I miss you when I ride to this place
in the silence that is with me
I miss you when I look at the stars
that try to contend with your eyes
I miss you when I must walk away
for all I want to do is stay
I miss your delicate touch
and your warm smile
I miss your arms
and your eyes
But most importantly,
I simply miss you

Like the mighty Phoenix
that rises
from the ashesHe too will rise again
to defend all that is light
He will not be the same
as when he last walked
He will have a new body
and a new name
One of his descendents will
become him
And follow the ways of
the Paladin
This young lad will inherit
his ancestor's sword
And will soon learn the
lessons he must
The trials will be hard
for this young one
As they were for those
who came before him
It is always with regret
that ones of this blood
Slay those who act
in the darkness
The young one will
rise when it is time
And lead all those
who will follow
When the darkness
has come
When the shadows
don't fall
The light of his blade
will be the only light on the land
The way of the warrior will sadly
be the only way to live
Dark can not exist without Light
Death can not exist with out Life
Each needs the other
and that is way he does not fall to the night
He fights to maintain the light
He fights to keep life
The darkness does not know him
Has not touched him in strife

She is my treasure,

More beautiful then the finest diamond
More prescous then gold
More valuable then silver
Rarer then all three
I would fight for

Like a dragon would
fight for his horde
I would give my life
for my treasure
Like no one else would
My treasure is of
flesh and blood
My treasure is of
heart and soul

We came together in the night
having no idea what we would discover
Together we stayed
through that dark period
(piano part, two or three measures)
And now your life says
that you must move on
I will stay behind
and hold the fort for you
When you leave you take
my heart with you
That way we will never
truly be apart
You cried on my shoulders
and I even cried on yours
You knew what I needed
when you saw it in my eyes
And now your life says
that you must move on
I will stay behind
and hold the fort for you
When you leave you take
my heart with you
That way we will never
truly be apart
You held the door for me
as I stepped into a kind of new life
You held your hand out to me
when I was being touched by strife
You saw me for what I am
You took me for what I will become

For Catharine Parnell
My Lady of the Sky
She gave my heart
the wings to fly
As it soars above the clouds
It leaves the hurt and hate behind
Like all things
It moves on in time
But I look at My Lady
and wonder way she cries
Why should she weep
when she has made me fly?
I am not prepared to die
She has given me breath of life
And I bow to her in strength
And I kneel before her in power
I take My Lady's hand
and we fly into the sky
Up above the clouds
beyond what is known
She takes my heart
and gives me a push
Into the star filled heavens
She joins me there
in my dreams and hopes
And whispers that
I am not alone
Odd how things work out
How people meet by what seems like chance.
What would this Knight
do with out his Lady?
He shall never know
nor will he ever want to
Thank you for the wings
My Sky-Lady

A dedication to my future wife.
I know not why I love her Lord God.
I do not know her name
But I love her just the same
Please Lord God tell me why
My feelings for her are so strong
As strong as they can be
Tell me Lord God why do I love her
Her beauty still entraps me
Tell me why, tell me why
There are few things I know
But why and how is not one of them
So tell me why, tell me why
Love is the strongest emotion
But why, but why
If I am to be married, let it be her
The thoughts of her love makes me cry
She has imprisoned my love
Tell me why
I do not know her,
Maybe I do
She could be so far
Or so near and I would not know
The truth
Please stop the pain
The Lone Heart
Is now my name
I can no longer bear to be apart
I ask from you why
There comes no reply
What have I done
For so much pain
I want to know here name
I ask only for her
But I only smell the sweet
Aroma of myrrh
I long to look in her face
But without such disgrace
I only asked for to cease
But it comes without peace
My soul burns like fire
For her is who I desire
Tell me why you forsake me
Only to toil and play
Now I wish to jump in the sea
At the end of this long bitter day

A dedication to my grandfather Edward Barrington.
Once upon a darkened shade
There was my debt fully paid
Now the skies of night
Were drowned out by some holy light
Let me hear your anthems sweet
Listen to the distant drums beat
By the side of the shore
You will see me never more
Now I am still concerning
About my kin still mourning
Do not worry child
I will watch you even on nights not mild
Now my children's children this to you
To yourself be forever true
Smile the unending smile
For you will see me in a while

A dedication to my good friend DE.
Light still comes on this darkened land
like a child and his out stretched hand
trying to grab onto me
for its sweet security
Life has come as though it were in trouble
Now that we live in this precious bubble
The new light on this Earth
Tells the beginning of the birth
The sun rise a beginning of a new age
Its just like a creation by the mage
It represents the beginning of new life
Its the beginning of love and strife
Now the sun is high in the sky
The new year is over with
The little boy is about to cry
He asks why do things change
Now the sun is going down
Get a smile from a frown
He is older and on his own
But his dreams still take him home
The moon over head
Put the gentle lad to bed
When he wakes tell him the story again
Let him use his imagination

A dedication to Kate Cheevers.
It has come down to
Fear of it or fear of righteousness
The dark path I can not see
Or do I wish not to
What is on this path?
What is it I must know!
What can I hold to light my way?
Who is to say that I will not wonder off,
From this narrow path
It may be behind any tree
It may be in a bush
But I can only pray,
That it will not come for me
What makes me fear?
Is it the chill of the bitter air
I have not seen this monstrosity
But I still fear
What is that sound down the path?
What could it be?
With ignorance I still wait
What is this that I still forsake?
Is it a punishment that I have not redeemed?
I see the light of this thing
but fear is still over shadowing my judgment
I can see the face
It is my brother
How could I be afraid
I must be a fool to believe my imagination!
To let it run a muck!
The only thing I feared was nothing
What came down the path was only fear
It has come It has shown its face
and it has the face of fear
IT HAS COME

What is it like when you don't know the truth?
What is it like when you can't see the truth?
What is it like when you believe nobody loves you?
Yet you are the best thing in are lives!
I do not know why you are here?
I do not know why you forsake yourself?
I do not know why you make us happy?
But why are you so sad!
I can not understand what you think?
I can not understand what you feel?
I can not understand what you see?
Because all I see shear beauty!
How come you think no one cares?
How come you believe no one loves?
How come everything you believe is wrong?
Do you choose not to believe!
What's wrong with the picture?
What's wrong with the heart?
What's wrong if you know we love you?
How many times must we say it!
How many times have I told you?
How many times have I been there?
How often have I been there to comfort?
How come I must always go to you!

Lone Heart is now my name
Why do I feel so much pain?
Can't you feel all my sorrow
Why can't I be hit by Cupid's arrow?
I see all my friends falling in love
Its like thunder from up above
Why is this I do not know!
Just why can't I be hit by Cupid's arrow?
Love is lost, love is gained
My heart will never be the same
I no longer wish my sorrow to grow
I just want to be hit by Cupid's arrow!

I see a lovely young lady in the grassy field
She stands hand in hand with her child
She has a heart that does not yield
The moon over head gives a clue
To why she stands on this night not mild
Her eyes like two stars above the sky
Shows love and strength
It helps to understand her face that's draped in tears
She has loved and lost
But the love of her child forever glows
Among these two stands a night flower that blooms
Against the endless meadows
A strong will a strong heart
Her love falls on this littel beauty
And this beauty she can't bear to be apart
She is the Night Goddess
the beauty of the moon lit sky
The beauty who is about to cry
NOBODY UNDERSTANDS
How come nobody understands me
How come nobody cares
Don't you understand your not alone
Why am I always the bad guy
Nobody else takes their blame
Can't any one else see
I know why nobody dares
To take their blame
Now I know why
Their fear has finally shone
Can you hear my cries of pain
I am no longer going to cry
Do you feel any thing the same
I must be true to me and all I can be
Nobody really cares
They don't face their shame
All this pain makes me cry
I really know who my friends are
I know why nobody cares
***************************************************************
I see the tunnel which many go
Why do I walk down it so slow?
Do they all walk the same?
Knowing their gone
How come I can't feel sadness or pain?
Does everyone feel the same?
Does any body know I am gone?
No, they don't!
They don't care
How did I come here?
What was my exit
What made me leave?

"The untold story that we hear to much"
Listen to the birds song
Here this little boy lies
His life is almost gone
But has breath for his last cries
No one is there with him
No mother, brother or other kin
He is left there with nothing to gain
Some how I hear his pain
This story I also know
For I still have the scars to show
But still in his blood he lies
It covers his arms like crimson ties
He is now bound to the earth
Without a hope of rebirth
At least he left with one last kiss
His story goes like this
At early age a home of bliss
A large home full of life
And a tuck in, with a kiss
But secretly a home full of strife
(Which we all have felt)
Later on in his years
His home was full of tears
Full of mourning and full of sorrow
He did not look towards tomorrow
(Which we all have known)
His parents are no longer there
To him no one gives their care
Except his only sister
Who also bears lives blisters
(Which we all have heard)
Years later full of sin
Years later with his only kin
Now they are on their own
With only a box as their home
(Which we all have seen)
He lives on a filthy puddle
Without a blanket to cuddle
But soon his sister he will meet
I smell the filth on the street
(Which we all have smelt)
Here on this place he lies
Here on this place he dies
His sister is now here
Now he has nothing to fear
(We all feel)
Once a life full of joy
At the sight of this boy
Now he just lies
While she cries
(Which we all can hear)
The night is almost gone
It will soon be time of dawn
She just bends over and gives him a kiss
For her love is endless
(Can't you feel it)
She is no longer there
His only comfort now the bitter air
His last breath is now gone
All I can hear now is the birds sweet song
(Which I don't want to hear)
***************************************************************
I feel all my sin
Burning from with in
Because I ruined all her bliss
With the touch of my kiss
I feel all her sorrow
Perhaps it will be better tomorrow
Can't you feel all her pain
What am I saying you have all done the same
***************************************************************"Senses"
I hear the rhythm of the bell
But I can only see my personal hell
I can feel the purity of the light
But I only hear the sounds of night
I can taste the chill of the wind
But feel my soul burning from within
I see the beauty of the sky
But I taste the tears when I cry
I smell the aroma of the morning sun
So why is there all this confusion

coming from my darkest dreams
They tell the story of my heart
now and forever torn apart
By the beautiful lady of love
Now I ask Lord God strike me from up above

WHAT IS ALL THIS FOR?
***************************************************************"Unloved & Unwanted"
I feel my heart being torn from my chest
For I am not even second best
I stand all alone
Without a love of my own

This I wish I could not see
Why does this happen, I do not know
Now I plead life just LET ME GO

Hush my love don't shed a tear
Don't even wish I am there
If you must just close your eyes, there I'll be

Listen to my song for you
Hear it sing of love so true
It comes from my heart
wich you will always have a part
I ask just go rite now
My love will show you how

(Note: 'Erin' is another name for Ireland, and the poem is from a native's view)
All roads lead to Erin To where my heart belongs A place of beauty, hope, and love That beckons to my soul
Erin is an ancient land
Her youth is centuries past
And yet she is a hardy maid
Who was meant to last
She's edged with thick and jagged rock
Blanketed with luscious green
Lined with cliffs and mountains tall
With rivers in between
She needs no finer dress
Than the flowers in her crown
And her voice is that of reed flutes
Their sad and lilting sound
Erin is a torn land
Her history's bittersweet
Full of toil, tears, and blood
>From the mark of foreign feet
First there came the Celts
A strong and mighty race
Who bore the sign of Mother Earth
With fhaín marks upon their face
And then the conquering Normans
Destroyed the noble Picts
Left their land in ruin
After mean and cunning tricks
The Normans built their fortresses
Of sturdy mud and stone
Turning our fair Erin
To their Iceland home
The castles they raised
Left a long-lasting scar
Of round towers and turrets
That reach for the stars
The next challenge was from Rome
An empire of might
That drove back the Normans
In a miserable fight
The battle cries rang
>From the moor to the hills
'Til the Viking invaders
Left with the wind in their sails
And the Romans were left
With an island that was wild
Filled with wandering tribes
And an occasional faery child
The Romans couldn't tame
Their unruly Celtic people
Whom they immediately banished
With iron bar and church steeple
Until a certain priest
Who was destined to turn around
The future of Erin
Accidentally ran aground
Using native plants
And talk of the Christ
He taught them of a God
Who was gentle and right
He was savior and destroyer
For innocent Erin
Patrick brought the Christian Britons
To settle deep within
And the British stayed
Through years of bloody terror
Between Protestant and Catholic
The rich and the poor
They imprisoned Erin's people
As slaves on their own land
Until this very century
When she was freed by royal hand
All roads lead to Erin
Her music and her arts
A muse of voice and color
The queen of many hearts
She has the restless spirit
Of the wildest colt
Along with the fire
Of a lightning bolt
She has birthed many heroes
Like Cù Chulainn and Conall
Who brought down pain and suffering
But endured a mighty fall
She is the mother of my family
My heritage, my life
Erin is my homeland
Where laughter joins with strife
When it is
My turn to rest
Away from this crazy life
I wish to be laid with my breast
Close to Erin's soil
I wish to run
With the Irish wind
Along the green and rugged coast
Until the world has its end
All roads lead to Erin
My heart
My soul
My Erin

I'm running with the demon
Living on the edge
The edge of madness
Edge of hate
Running with the demon
A demon unlike I ever saw
Snarling, snapping, subtle, serene
Danger beneath the satin skin
Vicious as a snake
Temper strikes like lightning
Rage like icy wind
A familiar face that mimics mine
Older, wiser, aged
Running with the demon
She runs by my side
Unpredictable
Treacherous is my path
And yet sometimes
The creature is gentle
And seems to care
Great strides that match my own
Burn my path with fire
The fire of its anger
The pain it holds within
Running with the demon
We share blood
The demon and I
Blood that drips from its angry jaws
Sharing its pain with me
Rip my heart to shreds
Try to mend the damage
I try not to falter
Attempt not to fail
I must try
Running with the demon
My strides gather strength
Footsteps eating ground
It will not hold me back
The demon snaps at my heels
But I cannot give in
I will not falter
Cannot fail
Running with the demon
I pull away
To hold my own
My struggle is over
Running with the demon

By: C. Parnell
A little boy asked me one day
"Why is the sky so blue?"
I couldn't answer him
At first,
But then I said,
"All the sorrow and sadness,
The pain and the strife,
The hectic struggle through everyday life
Goes into that sky,
Turning it blue."
"Oh," he said,
His little eyes sad.
Looking up at me,
He shook his head.
"No.
I think God eats blueberries,
And they are juicy and ripe
The juice dribbles down
And turns the sky blue."
"Oh," I said,
And I thought for a while.
Is it pain?
Is it sadness?
Is it struggle or strife?
And I smiled, and said,
"Then, let God eat blueberries!"
And the little boy laughed.

Rest your eyes
My little one
Let yourself dream
Of a beautiful world
Where all is right
Where no war cries echo
And no guns are fired
Dream of a world
Drunken with peace
Rest your eyes
My precious babe
Let me soothe your crying
Hush your wailing
Sweetest lamb
Try and hear my voice
It's singing sweetly
Listen
And I will calm you
Dream away
My darling child
Of castles tall and white
See the knights and ladies fair
Who call your precious name
They want to take you questing
To battle dragons, monsters, magic
If you are want to leave me
To join the bright parade
Go ahead, but don't stray far
You may need me yet
Sleep well
My angel child
Now you're growing up
Someday soon you'll leave me
To fly on your own wings
You will reach the dreams
That you dreamt long ago
I'll give you a lift
If that's what you need
Dream, little one
And know I'll never leave you
Rest your eyes
And sleep

Hunched over the paper
A stain on her hand
Ink on her fingers
Ideas in her head
Little symbols
The scratchings of her pen
Dancing over the manuscript
She writes from her soul
Her spirit and her heart
Letting her stories weave magic
Through the tapestry of your mind

Stars
Tiny diamonds
Suspended
Hanging by invisible threads
Shining soft
Yet brilliant light
Into the darkness of eternity

An ordinary girl
With wavy auburn hair
And the ocean in her eyes
Gave everything up
To become
The Angel
She listens to the troubles
And joys of her friends
So that they might be happy
With the help of
The Angel
A creature of grace
A child of the light
Singing the sweet melodies
That are a part of
The Angel.
The wings of the dove
A halo of love
Inner beauty
Is
The Angel
Never faltering
Never failing
Always strong and true
Turn to the hope that is
The Angel
Let her take you
Flying among the clouds
Lift up your spirit
And soar with
The Angel

The sun
Is a burning wheel
Of fire
Flames licking eagerly
At the coldness of space
Heating the icy universe
With their fury

If wishes were horses
I'd ride through the sunset
Let the hooves leave their mark in the sand
See the waves swirl in pools
Where my wish used to be
Beautiful memories, quickly forgotten
Only wet sand
Where my wish used to be
If wishes were horses
I could have a stable of dreams
Glistening coats made of stardust
Ribbons of moonlight for manes
Voices like bells in the morning
The steeds in my stable of dreams
Pull at their reins made of sunlight
Eyes like ebony flame
The steeds in my stable of dreams
If wishes were horses
I'd pull a chariot
See the wheels race around
In a circle of life
Where my wishes run free
Burning thre track of time
Leave a trail of peace
Where my wishes run free
If wishes were horses
Every child would have a pony
Little wishes, big hearts
The beginnings of a breed
The new generation
A new breed of hope
Gallop 'cross the years
Build the world's tomorrow
A new breed of hope
If wishes were horses

Thicker than blood
Our bond runs deep
Stronger than steel
It will never break
nor bend
nor shatter
Lighter than air
It keeps me floating
Brighter than starlight
The stars in your eyes
A connection so pure
Basic, fundamental
Linking one person to another
Without thought, without care
Souls touching
Spirits intertwined
There is wisdom in those tangled threads
Wisdom in the distance
Friendship in its truest state
Faith unlike any other
Strength, faith, tenderness--
The meaning of our bond
Unbreakable---
The truth of our connection
Eternity----
Thicker than blood.

hey, don't i know you?
a shadow in my past
flitting, flying, false
an illusion of my mind
they say that it happened
that we lived once long ago
in a place distant, surreal
did we really?
i reach out to touch you
to grasp your trembling fingers
familiar, yet so strange
as the vision fades away
slipping, sliding, disappearing
not for me to see
were you my sister
once upon a time?
the centuries seem to melt
from the heat of my frustration
i can almost see you clearly
standing on a hill
a face that echoes mine
eerie, enchanting, elegant
they tell me we were special
that we made a change
as violent as a summer storm
as sad as the oboe's song
fabrication-truth or lie?
were we once together
upon a far-off shore
the vision's quickly fading
my mind is crying out
attempting feebly to comprehend
to recall the long-lost memories
symbols of what is no more
did it really happen?
god, i wish i knew
maybe i do
but maybe i don't
turning back again
double the frustration
complex, mysterious, vague
the mazes in my heart
is the real me someone different?
is my destiny really set?
part of a great battle
the salvation for this race
sacred as this circle is
am i really part of the loop?
a link in the chain of fate
a pawn; fortune's fool
in the hands of my creator
please, don't drop me
the memories are foggy
barely more than
the faintest whisper
lingering traces
mysterious glimpses
into a heart
long since silent
i hear your quiet voice
it echoes in my mind
gentle, genuine, ghostly
my sister?
is that really possible?
parted for so long
recently reunited
join the sacred circle
holy, haunting, hated
spinning, spiritual, spiral
touch them
hear them
sense them
the memories, growing cold
wisdom, wit, worry
rage, religion, radiance
the circle of eternal life
beautifully constant
fearfully unknown
on the wheel of destiny
i am but a spoke
remembering my past
within the sacred circle

How did I get here?
Come so far,
And become who I am?
A thousand years ago
I was a symbol of power
A marker for eternity
People sought me out
To plead with the goddess
A goddess
In my own right
Grace embodied
Royalty, as well
And then my hopes were shattered
Like the fragile windowpanes
And event that shook us all
Killed all but a few
To lay in limbo for a millennia
Destined for a quest
That would right the wrongs of humankind
A messiah unlike any other
The messiah no one knows
Yet
To come so far
To be who I am
It took years
Thousands in succession
For me to reach this point
A lifetime of memories
A lifetime lost
All to begin again.

i simply seek
a separate peace
one to call my own
to escape the constant fury
contempt within your heart
the cool, aloof attitude
that i so often see
did you think i wouldn't hurt
that i wouldn't bleed
far from it
to see you faint
to see you fall
a coma, warm and hazy
i wish for you to set me free
release the poor creature
so that she might find tranquillity
is that so much to ask
i simply seek
a separate peace
one to call my own
***************************************************************
A deep forbidden feeling
Pain like little else
The burning, aching anger
Flames that seldom cease
You've given me this fire
Kindled it with words
More powerful than you thought
Strengthened the blaze
Bordering on hatred
Emotion I cannot embrace
Simply because of my nature
The powers that be
My rhythm, aura, purpose
Different than yours
No whip-like anger
No searing, raging flames
Just forgiveness
My patience is growing thin
The madness creeping in
This is what I live with
Same blood
Same contempt
This anger that you've given me
Your silent legacy
***************************************************************
i am the moonlight
soft upon the hills
i am the mare
wild without reins
i bless the fields and harvests
reap my love and bounty
i am the waves
the foam on the sea
i am your lady
goddess
i am the springtime
flowers in my hair
i am the wind
rushing through the trees
i am the lamb
lifeblood of deep crimson
i am the raven
call back the dead
i am the maiden
goddess
i give life to the rivers
flowing on the moor
bring light to the moon
silver orb of my being
i am the blue of the sky
brilliant and healthy
i am the earth
touch my damp skin
i am your mother
goddess
i am the song of the bard
lingering history
i am the queen of the fae
sprites, elves, and goblins
i am the night
cloak the world in darkness
i am death
goddess

Princess, born in solitude
A castle by the lake
Brought up by the Holy Writ
Christian to the bone
Lonely little maiden
Sheltered Gwenwhyfar
Sold as a mare to noble stud
Arthur, Golden King
A dowry of a thousand men
An' horses finely bred
Silent and unwilling bride
Forlorn Gwenwhyfar
Met a man of scarlet cap,
Crimson swirling cape
Dark as the raven
Swift as the fox
Forbidden to the lady
Broken-hearted Gwenwhyfar
Wed amongst the eyes of Gods
Hidden 'neath a veil
Made the Queen of all the lands
Consort to the Stag
Swallowed up in public life
Little Gwenwhyfar
Children romped 'round her feet
None of which her own
Born to maids of lesser birth
Not a royal heir
Childless Queen of Britain
Barren Gwenwhyfar
Left alone to tend the court
Her husband gone to war
Stone halls that echo emptiness
Comfort in her lover
No longer a pious wife
Unfaithful Gwenwhyfar
Damned a God
Not her own
Burned her loyalty
Stamping out the sacred fires
Disgraceful to the Goddess
Fanatic Gwenwhyfar
Lost her pride
Her husband, too
A kingdom fallen hard
Decaying from
The lonely years
Pitiful Gwenwhyfar
Retreated into pain
Away from what she knew
Hidden in an orchard fair
Sanctuary of peace
Died alone, a quiet death
Blessed Gwenwhyfar
Of all the tales
>From Camelot
None is as sad
No one as misunderstood
Nothing as sorrowful
As the lament of Gwenwhyfar
