What is Reiki ?

Reiki means life for energy which is present in every human soul. This divine energy is present in everybody's hands by birth. By the Guru's initiation, this energy is awakened and any person can cure any living being with his hands from any physical, emotional and mental imbalances. This power was used by Lord Buddha & Jesus Christ. Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan revived  this therapy in Tibet & India and that it is why it has been named as Dr. Usui Shiki Ryoho's Natural therapy. The therapy was developed by Dr. Chujiro Hayashi and introduced to the western countries by Madam Hawayo Takata.

What  is not Reiki ?

It is neither a religion nor a mental treatment. It is neither any organization nor any imagination. It is also not a myth.  It is a divine energy which passes from our head to heart and through heart to our hands.

Is Reiki a scientific technique ?

Like Air & Solar power, Reiki is also a perfect scientific curing technique. Reiki is practiced by Surgeons, Physicians, Homeopaths all over the world. Many doctors are progressing and preaching Reiki.

What are the metaphysics of Reiki ?

The metaphysics of the divine energy are the energy centres called the chakras. There are seven major chakras and the hand chakras. The chakras have corresponding organs, qualities or emotions, colors and elements. The following are the details of the seven chakras.

Mooladhara (Root) Chakra. 

It is situated at the area of the genitilia (base of spine). It is associated with the kidneys and the adrenal glands and the associated element is earth. The emotion or quality associated is emotion of fear.

Swadhistan (Sacral) Chakra.

This Chakra is linked to the yin aspect of the kidneys, the ovaries in women, and the testis and prostate in men. It is related to the element of water (essence of life). The emotions associated with it is self love/esteem.

Manipura (Solar Plexus) Chakra.

This Chakra is associated with the Stomach, Spleen, Pancreas, Liver and the gall bladder. The element associated is fire and the emotion is of anger.

Anahata (Heart) Chakra.

This Chakra is considered to be the balance of the human body. It is associated with the Heart, Lungs and Thymus (Immune System). The element associated with the chakra is air and it is the base of all type of emotions a human mind can have like love, respect, hatred etc.

Visudha (Throat) Chakra.

This Chakra is associated with the Thyroid, Parathyroid glands and hypothalamus. There is no single element associated with it. It rather have the amalgamation of the first four chakras. The emotion associated with it is self-expression.

Ajna (Brow) Chakra.

The Chakra is associated with the Pituitary gland which regulates the majority of basic bodily functions. It is also an amalgamation of first four elements (Earth, Fire, Water & Air). The emotion or the characteristics related are intuition, insight and creativity.

Sahastrar (Crown) Chakra.

The chakra is associated with the Cerebro Spinal Nervous system. It also have a mix of all four elements. The emotions or the characteristics associated are spiritual enlightment and vision.
