When sufficiently cooled, lift the small glass dish and hold the magnet directly under it.  Swirl the magnet around the underside of the dish.  This step should allow you to gather the micrometeorites in a centralized location in the base of the dish.  You should see small black specks being guided by the magnet’s field.  If this motion of the magnet’s field causes the small black specks to move, you have successfully collected micrometeorites!
