FOUR GOSPEL BASICS 1 Cor. 15:1

II. IT MUST BE RECEIVED - vs. 1; cf. Acts 18:8; 1 Thess. 2:13; Lk. 8:11ff. A. Understandable - Eph. 3:1-4 B. With afflictions - 1 Thess. 1:6; 2:14ff. C. Will bear fruit - Lk. 8:14; 1 Thess. 2:13; 1:3, 5, 7 D. Sinners are saved - 1 Cor. 15:2; Rom. 1:16; 6:3-4, 17.
III. WE MUST STAND UPON IT - vs. 1; cf. Phil. 1:16 A. Stand upon the basis of it - vs. 3-4, 5-8; 1:17-21 B. Stand upon the inspiration of it - 2 Tim. 3:16-17 C. Stand upon the oneness of it - Gal. 1:6-12 D. Stand upon the results of it: 1. Salvation - Lk. 8:11 2. Unity - undenominational, anti-denominational, non-sectarian churches of Christ - cf. Acts 13-14:21-23; Eph. 4:4-6 3. Holiness and happiness in life - 2 Cor. 7:1; 1 Thess. 4:1-8; 1 Pet. 3:8-12 4. Hope - 1 Pet. 1:3-9
IV. WE MUST HOLD IT FAST - vs. 2 A. Because one can definitely fall from grace - 1 Cor. 10:12; 2 Pet. 2:20-22 B. Things in this world can cause us to turn it loose - cf. Lk. 8:13-14 C. Some turn away from the gospel for the law of Moses - Gal. 5:4
