Warmth and Cold,
At once conflicting feelings.
Night and Day,
Do my senses deceive me?

The flight away,
Back home, the bird
Aloft on feath'ry wings
Does land, away from fear.

Amidst the place,
The peace within,
The turmoil aside,
Then back again.

From tranquil mind
To whirling anguish,
But it lasts not long,
And once again, the soul pacific.

And it does relax,
As life is cast
And death staved off
For now.

'Til once again
The great bane returns,
The peace of life,
Now undisturbed.
