"The LORD turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have
and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?"
Judges 6:14
"It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. "
2 Samuel 22:33
Yesterday and today have been a couple of those days where I don't feel strong enough in and of myself to handle what lies before me. As I was praying last night I really wondered where the strength will come from... God brought these verses to mind and they do strengthen my heart. Gideon certainly didn't feel qualified or strong enough for the task God gave him but God said to go with what he had because God can and does make it sufficient... it is always more a matter of keeping my eyes fixed on him... it's in having no strength of my own and really needing God that I can find true strength.
"Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. "
1 Chronicles 16:11
Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and
send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred
to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
Nehemiah 8:10
I love you, O LORD, my strength.
Psalm 18:1
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made
perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my
weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for
Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions,
in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 16:9-10
