These all look to you
to give them their food at the proper time.
When you give it to them,
they gather it up;
when you open your hand,

God created us to be dependant on him, I can sometimes look at dependance as a negative thing but it is not. He created us with a need to look to him daily for our sustenance. To look to him to have our most basic needs met and when he provides for us we realize that he has met our needs perfectly... that he's given us just what we need at just the right time.. we see him differently. It deepens our relationship with him. He opens his hand to supply us with only good things. I get a picture of someone caring for a small animal, perhaps one who is injured, helpless or weak... a caring owner will cradle them in his arms and hand feed exactly what they can handle.. that's how God is with us. A gentle, loving caring Lord who takes the time to meet us where we are at and provide exactly what we need.
