"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient bearing with one another in love." Ephesians 4:2
I have been looking at this verse a little differently today. I've had the opportunity, the privilege really to be able to give and to help others in the past few days in ways that have called me to give more deeply of myself. I think that no matter what is required, what the cost in terms of time, money or sacrifice - I'll do it in a heartbeat because its for someone I love and care about. Their well being, spiritually and in every other way becomes the most important thing... that's the heart of God for us. It's in going through these times that I can catch a greater or deeper glimpse of what the sacrifice means to him. When I think of sacrificing for a friend it's not a hardship - it really is a privilege. I want to be able to give, especially for those I really care about. To think that God loves us so much that he WANTED to give up his son for us... not only that but he goes beyond that time and time again to express how valuable we are!! Amazing and humbling!
