Users of Eileen Dailly Swimming Pool in Burnaby, beware. They have a student rate, like a buck less than the adult rate or something like that. Okay. And they say that if you show valid student ID, then that's fine, you get to use the student rate. So, I went there and showed by totally valid, totally fine SFU student ID. Denied. Evidently, since there is no date on the card other than the issue date, they cannot use it as evidence that I am a student. That's right. They do not consider my student card sufficient evidence that I am a student. That's like not considering a driver's license as sufficient evidence that I'm a driver. It's utterly ridiculous. And I guess that's really all I have to say today. I'm not a happy camper.
what if one's a high school student? will they beleive you just
because one looks 14? even bus drivers didnt ask to see my Go card when i was in
high school and still trusted me . . .
maybe i better get a validated sticker on my student card then, else i wouldnt
be able to use it--the dilemma is that i'm trying to be different . to not sign
my card, and to not have a sticker til someone makes a fuss over it :P
