I was watching a television show today. I forgot what it was called, but the website was www.u8tv.com, check it out if you want. Basically, it's a reality tv show. Here's the scenario. Eight people live in an apartment. They can go out, lead normal lives, do whatever they want. It's just that wherever they go, they have to bring a camera along. At home, there's a few video cameras set up in the apartment, and they also host these little shows on sex, relationships and that sort of thing. Every night, the cameras turn off for eight hours, and they are free to do whatever they wish.
Okay. So now you have the general idea. Now, I find reality tv boring in the first place. But this show takes it to extremes. It's basically chronicling life of several not particularly interesting people. In other reality tv shows, there will be contests, food challenges, stuff like that. In this one, from what I saw of it, there wasn't really any of that. Just life. I just do not understand what kind of entertainment anybody could possibly derive from watching this. That's all.
