Here's a subject that's near and dear to my heart. The Grizzlies. The Memphis (nee Vancouver) Grizzlies. To start off their first season in Memphis, they have had eight losses in a row. They have played eight games as the Memphis Grizzlies, and won exactly zero. I gotta say. That's damn funny!
The Grizzlies were complaining about being located in Vancouver, so they packed their bags and went south. They transformed the team, trading away Abdur-Rahim and Bibby, getting guys like Battier. In hopes that a new chemistry will spark a winning season. No such luck fellas. With that eighth straight loss, the Grizzlies have broken their record for the worst starts of team history. In the 96-97 season, they lost their first seven. The Grizzlies have now sunk to a new low.
How does that make you feel? Happy because you are vindictive? Or, are you a closet Grizzlies fan, and are feeling quite disappointed? I have to confess, I'm a little happy that the Grizz are doing so bad. Makes me feel better for having been dumped.
You do make these calls.
