George W's latest statement? "No nation can be neutral in tihs conflict....today our freedom is threatened once again. Like the Fascist totalitarians before them, these terrorists – al-Qaeda, the Taliban regime that supports them and other terrorists groups around the world – try to impose their radical views through threats and violence....Given the means, our enemies would be a threat to every nation and, eventually, to civilization itself."

Either you're for us or you're against us. And if you're not for us, you is gonna get blowed up by our new 15000 pound "daisy cutter" bombs.

I find it ironic that Bush criticizes that the Taliban tries to impose their radical views through threats and violence. How is that different from the Americans? Except that the Americans try to impose their conservative views with threats and violence, rather than radical views. In fact, they use more than just threats and violence. They use marketing. And money. Much more sinister.

And what's this? Our enemies would be a threat to civilization itself? He means American civilization. End to McDonalds and stuff. An end to the American Dream. Boo hoo.

In an additional note, I noticed that Germany now intends to send 3900 ground troops to the war. The difference between Germany and Canada (not that Canada has committed any ground troops yet, I think). The German chancellor asked his parliament. Chretien doesn't bother. He doesn't see the point.
