You gotta feel for Byung Hyun Kim. This guy was the first Korean born guy to ever play in a World Series. Game Four of the World Series, Arizona has a two run lead. They're playing in Yankee Stadium, perhaps the most famous baseball stadium in the world. All Kim has to do is get six outs. He gets through the first five with no problems. Then he gives up a two run homer, letting it all slip away. He then proceeds, in the next inning, to give up another homer, thus losing the game. What makes it worse is the fact that Curt Schilling was the starting pitcher, who pitched a great game under adverse conditions. So his work was wasted.

The next day, game five. Miguel Batista is the pitcher. The whole world expects him to lose. He's got basically no chance. He pitches brilliantly, not allowing a run in eight innings of work. The coach, in the ninth, decides to show confidence in his closer. All Kim's gotta do this time is get three outs. And then he's redeemed himself (sort of) for yesterday. He gets out there, and gets two outs. Everything's cool. Then, he gives up another two run homer. Yankees tie the game. They end up winning it three innings later. Ouch. You should have seen his face. I'm thinking he won't be a popular guy in Arizona right about now. If he'd done his job better, Arizona would have two more wins, and they would have won the series already. Now that is a heavy burden to lay on one person's shoulders.
