for me, that what i just talked about would be one. maybe not top 5. but top. one of mine would be the first time i got a standing ovation. it was at my first GOF concert. it was really amazing. like...really. standing there after having....well, it was really great.

another would be this time in jazz band in grade 12, and you know, we did improv stuff, like 12 bar blues type stuff, in warmup, and in songs sometimes right? i'm sure you know all about it, you know about jazz. anyways, i did this solo....i don't even remember what song it was. i think maybe it was just a warmup even. but it was the best solo i've ever played. i was so totally on that day, it was amazing. that was cool.

another time....when the choir went to disneyland in grade 12, and we sang four strong winds....we got coached by this really cool guy, and stuff. anyways, we had a peak performance in the coaching session, that was quite a moment. that's what they call it you know. "peak performance". when you're hitting on all cylinders, and connect with everybody in the room, whether they are participants or audience.

i feel remiss in not mentioning any piano performances, because i've been doing that longer than anything. but i can't honestly say that i've had a peak performance at the piano.

there was this time, when i was at some kind of barbershop thing. a camp or something, i don't remember. some kind of trip. it was late at night -- like i don't know, 1 or 2 in the morning. and we were drinking a bit, you know. anyways, we sang this tag -- you know what a tag is? probably. anyways, i got to sing the lead, and so i was hanging on a high G (not a high high G, but the G above middle C for like twenty seconds or something. it was awesome. in full voice just belting it out like there's no tomorrow. just amazing. it really felt great.

when i went to see joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat, the last number. i think it was some kind of mix of a bunch of the songs. blew me away. oh, i finally thought of a piano one. i played a duet once with my piano teacher's son. we won silver at the St.Thomas More Festival. I don't really remember the piece, but finding out that we won second place was pretty awesome. 1
