In my experience, there aren't too many people who have too much time. Most people don't seem to have enough hours in the day to do what they want. That's the problem. Not enough hours in the day. The person who comes up with a commercial solution to that will rake in the millions, I'm telling you. Think about it for a moment. Imagine a 30 hour day. There's an extra two hours of sleep right off the bat. Badly needed in many cases. So that leaves four hours, with which to play with. Not bad at all. What could you do with an extra four hours a day? Well, if you were short on money, you might work. Four hours a day, adds up to two or three extra workdays in a week. You could relax. Most people don't have enough "downtime". Take up a hobby. An extra four hours a day and you'll be an expert at whatever hobby you choose to take up in no time at all. I would pay good money for an extra six hours a day. I seriously would. How much? Well not that much. But some. I think that if people started selling time like that....yeah, money would be made.
I realize that it's not exactly a permanent solution. After a little while, the activities of people would expand to fit the longer day, and once again, there would not be enough time in the day. And we'd have to extend it again. People are like that. Well, I am anyways. I guess the real solution would be time management. Ah, but to have 30 hours in a day.
Think of the flipside. Say take away four hours. 20 hours per day? Whoa! Hold up there bucko. That ain't enough time! Although I guess back in the day before regulated hours, people would work 12 hour days as a matter of fact. Leaving something like 12 hours to sleep and do chores. Not fun. Ah, enough of this whining. I shut up.
