Recently, I've been seeing a few girls around who have been wearing their clothes in such a way that their thong underwear comes up above their pants. This threw me for a bit of a loop. Surely they must know that I can see their entire underwear, I reasoned. So why do it? So I did some research.

Turns out that I'm way way way behind the times. The peeping thong is an accepted part of fashion nowadays. It all started about three years ago when Gucci started displaying their models with thongs riding over low-slung skirts. Since then, the peeping thong has become so popular that there are companies that sell thong adorning jewelery. Thong clips, they're called. Where the hell have I been? Apparently, this trend went from slightly risque to totally mainstream when Britney and Christina started doing it....in particular, one occasion when Britney's thong was peeping in an MTV music award show. Again, I reiterate. Where the hell have I been? I really have to start paying more attention to popular culture.

Jury is still out on the peeping thong. Some people love it, some people don't. Personally, I think it's pretty sexy. Some people think it looks trashy or slutty or whatever. Well, it's not classy, I'll give them that much. But hey. Screw classy. Some people are way too hung up about underwear. Guys have this too, I know. Some guys wear their pants half a foot below their boxers. No problem with that either. Though I don't do it myself. Hmm. Well, I guess there's not a whole lot more to say on this subject. Either you like it or you don't. And I do.

Why in the world are you looking at girls who wear peeping thongs??? You're such a peeping Tom.
