A comment about blogs. Blogs as I'm sure everybody knows is a rather silly sounding abbreviation for weblogs. Most of the blogs I've read are principally about the personal lives of people. This begs the question. Are blogs for the writers or the readers? I guess the answer to this lies in the author. There are people who write for themselves. Then there are people like me, who write for their adoring public. It says on the stats that geocities kindly keeps for me that eleven people read my previous comment, on grokking. I don't believe that for a second. It's much more likely that four people read it two times each, and one person found it so gratifying that they read it three time!! Special thanks to that one person who read it three times eh. Anyways....where was I?

Personally, I don't really care how many slices of toast Mr. Blog had for breakfast this morning. Well, in special circumstances, yeah maybe. If he ate 82 slices of toast, had to go to the hospital to get his stomach pumped for food poisoning, and then went home and ate another 82 slices and promptly died, then yeah, I guess I would be interested. Just so I don't make the same mistake. But in general....don't care. It's nice people who take things in their personal lives and rant and rave about them, or try to find a truism in them, or a lesson, or a moral, or a joke, or whatever. I read those. But ones that read "I woke up this morning and ate toast. Then I took a piss and went to school. Class was pretty boring. I went home and watched tv for a couple hours then ate chicken for dinner. I had to finish my math homework that night because there was an assignment due tomorrow." Sorry, but I am unable to read those. Sometimes I wonder why they are written in the first place. Do some people find them interesting? I guess if I wrote something like that, my mom might want to read it, just so she can stop bugging me about where I was and what time I'll be home. But other than that....can't really think of anybody. And so...does it help the person who is doing the writing? Does it help digest what has happened to him that day? Is he scared that he'll forget what he did? Don't understand. Explain please.

testing to see if this form works. Strangely, reading blogs gets additctive. I write blogs b/c ppl read it (I have over 1000 hits now as you very well know) and also b/c I want to remember what I did. I have trouble remember what I did on Monday. however, I still filter my blogs or i use cryptic language if I will piss off someone who reads it but certain other ppl will get. Also because I like writing. and BSing. Mebbe that's why I'm in English :)
