I used to be early for everything. I would get so upset at my dad if he didn't get me to school on time (which was very often). Over the past few years, I've noticed that my friends are always late (most of them at least). So in order not to have to wait twenty minutes every time I met them, I started to be late too. This lateness trend bled over into life outside of friends. Now I am late for almost everything.

And in fact, most people out there are very late a lot of the time. Why? Why is punctuality so overlooked? It can't be "fashionable" to be late nowadays, and in fact, it never was. So why do people do it?

Maybe they just don't care. Punctuality is not the virture it once was. People don't care if they are late. They are in fact expected to be late. And they are busy. Got other things to be doing. There are probably other reasons.

I think that it is kind of dumb that being late is almost a part of life. I mean, for one thing it is a waste of time. For another thing, people who say a date or time, expect that time to be the optimal for people to get there. So to show up a half hour later is clearly a waste of tiem. So.....why? I don't know.
