Odds In Time

Oh I hear you sleeping now
A little breath and one big snore
Tis music to my ears
With my head tucked snuggly
against your shoulder
You have to know you are loved
That should be plain to see
You are loved
I know--it's by me!
Who would have thought
Who could have dreamed
Someone tell me what are the odds
The two of us meeting as we did
Why I bet the odds are better
to win the lottery
Or be a man in space
Or to have a real money tree
Or to have a rich uncle
leave you everything
You don't have
any of those, I hope
Beat the odds we have
What power your love has over me
What safety and joy I feel from you
Your touch makes my skin
desire to be close to you
To snuggle closer
To envelope myself
in each space between us
To be able to mold my body
to you in each and every way
To go to sleep with you at night
And say "I love you"
To wake up each day with you
And say :Good morning, Honey"
Maybe we wish for impossible dreams
But each knows the others heart
Each knows we are really not far apart
Too many similiar likes and views
To many things we both like to do
And now I awaken from my dream
But once again we part, my dear
This time I shed a few less tears
For I know another day is past
Drawing us each closer
to our time together
Countdown time
is almost here again
But this countdown
shall be our last
Until our next meeting day
to the rest of our lives
I hold back the tears
I so freely weep these days
For I know
you are safely in my heart
As mine is with yours,
never to part.
