Native Races
- Andern
- The andern are natural shapeshifters.
- Hartig
- The hartig are hearty recluses with a talent for shaping stone and metal, somewhat like the dwarves of other campaigns.
- Human
- The humans are adaptable and numerous, but distrustful of magic.
- Irda
- The irda, imported from Dragonlance, are gentle giants who live in harmony with nature.
- Kharun
- The kharun are an insectoid race, similar to the formians of other campaigns.
- Liorespiyr
- The liorespiyr are mischievous little sprites, modeled on some fey found in other campaigns.
- N'tuven
- The n'tuven are noble scholars with a natural inclination toward magic.
- Tassach
- The tassach are earthy folk, perhaps more like the hobbits of Middle Earth than the halflings of other campaigns.
Other Races
The standard D&D races are also found in Dathenest, in smaller numbers. Cosmopolitan cities such as Myth Cedherid host families and individuals of every known race— and a few that have not been seen elsewhere!
