Stars And Stripes Forever

World Tour
Dear Students, Parents and
Friends,
In the weeks ahead, our class will focus on a study of Japan and its
people. The students will examine objects from everyday life in Japan
and use the spoken and written language from that country. They will
learn about the art, literature, and music of Japan and cook native
recipes.
In order to make this a hands-on experience, if you have any of the following please share them with
us.
Books, magazines,
newspapers
- Toys
- Money
- Kitchen items
- School supplies
- Clothing
- Tapes of music, songs and stories
- Instruments
- Slides or video tapes
We welcome guest speakers (parents,
relatives, friends) who have traveled or lived in Japan and anyone
who has a related experience or even a favorite recipe to
share.
You can enhance your child's learning by visiting the library to find out more about Japan and by going to a Japanese restaurant or market. For even more fun, try eating a family meal with chopsticks!
