As wonderful a locating aid as the I.G.I's are, they do not give you any information other than names and dates. Not all parishes are included, even those that can be found only go up to 1860/80 some not even that far.
What happened to the family past that date?
Only baptisms and marriages are included, so what about the burials of your ancestors?
You may find several names all the same, so are you really sure that you are not marrying somebody that perhaps died as an infant!
If you are looking for ancestors in WORCESTERSHIRE then searches can be made in all of the original parish registers that have been deposited at the Worcester Record Office. Details of these can be found by visiting our "Parish Register Page"
For those who are new to family history research let me explain that this is a computerised service that shows baptism and marriage names and dates. These have been taken from parish church registers throughout the UK up to c.1860/1880 (dates can vary depending on the parish.)
The parishes of all Counties have all been combined together, therefore if you are not sure which County your ancestors were living in, then this service can be of great assistance. Even if a marriage cannot be located, sometimes a breakdown of information for the children can be found. Searches can be made on your behalf for the whole of the UK
If you would like me to undertake any other related family history research within the County of Worcestershire to compliment the I.G.I's possibly Census, Marriage Licences, etc. then please visit the following: ....."Services Available"
