Garth is now the only male artist in riaa history to have two solo albums top the 10 million mark (domestic sales). He is the fastest selling albums artist in riaa history, with domestic sales in excess of 54 million. His sales make him the fouth highest selling artist in riaa history

Garth received the academy of country music Jim Reeves memorial award, the first to be pressented in thirteen years. Named for the legendary Reeves, who 35 years ago pioneered international country markets,the award is only given when the acm recognizes an artist who has uniquely promoted and enhanced the image of county music intenationally.

He received a star on the hollywood walk of fame.
