I am annoyed
as grass,
a
beetle,
and three pebbles
tumble out
of my son's jeans
into the washer.
I must learn
to treasure
the rainbows
in his pockets
The hopes,
the
dreams,
and joys
they represent.
Inconvenienced
I retrieve
his loot
and find myself
smiling.
