CHILD'S PLAY

As bare feet meet the icy mountain run off
small stones skip across the water
Little ditties made up and sung
private conversations carried on with one
A small child's pleasure in simple joys
The splashing of water from a large rock
A quick, but often late ducking away
followed by high pitched squeals of delight
