Jesus walked in our shoes.
Lived as one among us,
felt our pain; suffered loss.
Although the scars of Calvary
remain, he conquered death.

He is our hope in times of struggle.
Because he lives, our defeats
can be turned to victory.
Because he loves us
he will carry us through.

The spear piercing his flesh
was not the end of a dream;
but for God an opportunity
to build our faith.
His power overcoming remorse.

Out of tragedy God
can bring victory and triumph,
a reason to believe.
Jesus is our blessed assurance.
You may cast your doubts aside.
