Choosing Destiny

                      CHOOSING DESTINY

Is the reign of God upon us
The white steed, rider and bow
Harassing the ends of the earth
Men losing their peace of mind
No justice or guilt
No remorse for senseless bloodshed
Or is the destruction that of mere mortal men
Need the rider of the red horse wield his mighty sword
War and violence ensue man already
The scales are tipped
The black horse of famine rides
See the children with their swollen bellies
Ethiopia and India cry out in hunger
Mothers wail in anguish
A sickly green stallion charges
His rider death - need more be said
The mighty trumpet blasts
Thunderous music resonates
The tempest begins
Hail tumults the earth
Fire rains mixed with blood
Acid rain defiles the earth
The trumpet deafens
A flaming mountain is cast in the sea
A third runs with blood and death
A burning inferno - smoke rising
Oil suffocating fish and animals
The trumpet, the trumpet
Haunting, haunting
Cover your ears
The water wormwood
Is this the fruit of our own labor
Our repulsive greed & senseless neglect
Must we pollute all we touch
A mighty blast
Hearts tremble, You grieve
But death has a slow hand
The celestial lights grow dim
Partially plunged in darkness
The heavens covered from us
You fool - is it just an eclipse
Blaring trumpets
Oh, cover your ears
The great abyss is opened
Satan and his angels unleashed
Pillaging as they roam the earth

Is this the wrath of God
Or has man given birth
to a cruel twist of fate
We cling, even yet, to our adulterous ways
Selling our souls
Our material gods before all
The answer is within your grasp
Destiny or choice
