SummerRain

SUMMER RAIN

Thunder rumbles in the distance
Leaves turn upright waiting
A cool wind blows
Finally a brief solace
From the summer heat
Expectantly children watch the sky
Awaiting the gentle rains
Anticipating a joyously wet romp
