WILD NATURE

    by Gaetano Belverde

The finish of Nightly truce; the cart of Fetonte appears dozing above the horizon.
The bright light of our star begins to warm the stones of the "Dammusi".
 We ventures in the heart of the Siracusan province, one of the places more isolated,wild and wonderful of the whole island.
 We arrived to the access point of "Cava Grande del Casibile" , a canyon dug from the river in the course of the centuries till to the depth of 300 meters.

The leafy branches of the immense oriental planes give us moments of shade, in the hotter hours.
We came back of our steps,and  to leave again towards the clean beaches of Noto seas leaves us the Hotels to the shoulders,we descend still toward south in the direction of Pachino.
No so far away, the first beaches of sand thin, surrounded from dense reeds thicket and mediterranean botany, the dunes bar us the look and they conceal the foamy waves of the sea.
The beach of Eloro, adjacent to the ancient Greek city of Eloro, it is the first of three marvelousgilded wounds in the green of the mediterranean maquis.
 Fidgety Pegaso brings us with neighs and whims among  a dirt roads toward "cala mosca";

A rugged coastline that preserve a small bay in bosom rich of fischs and life, jagged sounding that preserve archeological finds and naturalistic jewels too.
Through an alternative runs we arrive in Vendicari natural reserve.
The beach designs a gulf, in the north the old Tonnara and an ancient Swabians tower.

The waves of the sea massage our body, We remain in this warm embrace
 till to when a flight of herons, that return from her fishing, remember us the finish of the day.
