Please, no duplicating, copying, or distribution without my consent. -------------------------------------------------------------- A girl arrives and looks around But nothing good can be found Because she seems so very lost No one accepting, such a cost All groups of friends turn their backs And no one opening, and she lacks The people skills to change their minds About their feelings, what they think behind She always tries to fit inside But somehow it never works when she tries And she remains a tag along Never accepted, always wrong She remains mostly alone Hiding her feelings from hearts of stone Looking for that one true friend That will accept her, no matter what end People annoyed glare at her Wondering why that such a cur Would be around all the time When they don’t want that piece of slime And inside she mopes and cries Always hoping but still does sigh Because everyone locks their hearts away And turn their backs and do not stay They talk not to this one lone girl Hard she does try to make them unfurl But it is to naught and she bows her head A heavy feeling, as hard as lead She walks away and stays outside And to no one she can confide Because she’s stuck the way she is Silent, hurt, and still no whiz All in all, a tag along Never quite part of the throng Always pushed to the side Never talked to, always shied Tag along, she does feel For no one accepts her as for real Instead, they turn their backs and talk And so she is so forced to walk Alone this tag along does stay Feeling sad throughout the day But nothing can at all be done Except start over, which is no fun So left apart, she has no choice And to this she does not rejoice But maybe one day, it all will change This tag along, no longer estranged A group of friends is all she wants But no one accepting, and it haunts Her very thoughts and wishes too To be friends with me or you That group of friends that she’d fit in Is all she wants, someone like kin But they are not to be found Not here today, not on this ground Tag along she remains And everything, through all her pain She looks on so sadly still Waiting for that change of will I tell you now what is right Open your hearts to her poor plight Welcome those that seem apart Accept those with open heart Let the lesson now be learned And let no other person now be spurned Because no one likes to be alone And you may find out what was not shown Meet a new person, make a friend Be not afraid to make amends So go and meet that tag along And invite her in so she belongs
